Aftercare

Aftercare & tips.

How to keep your color bright and your hair healthy between visits.

Vivids

  • Wait at least 72 hours before your first wash so the color can settle.
  • Wash with cool water and a sulfate-free, color-safe shampoo.
  • Wash less often: dry shampoo is your friend between washes.
  • Expect some color in the rinse water for the first few washes. That’s normal.
  • Protect from sun and chlorine; wet your hair with clean water before swimming.

Blonding & highlights

  • Use a purple or toning shampoo once a week if you notice brassiness, not every wash.
  • Add a deep-conditioning mask once a week to keep lightened hair soft.
  • Use heat protectant every time you blow-dry, curl or straighten.
  • Book a gloss or toner refresh between lightening appointments to keep the tone fresh.

Color & gray coverage

  • Hold off washing for 48 hours after your appointment.
  • Stick to color-safe, sulfate-free products.
  • Root retouches usually land every 4–6 weeks, depending on how fast you grow.

Cuts

  • A trim every 8–12 weeks keeps ends healthy and shapes crisp.
  • Sleep on a silk or satin pillowcase to cut down on frizz and breakage.
  • Ask me how to style your cut at home. I’m happy to show you.

Questions after your appointment? Send me a message. I’d much rather hear from you early than have you wait until your next visit.
